Welcome to My Literary Sanctuary
Hello and welcome! I am William Cato. If you love the weight of a well-worn commentary, the crisp texture of a classic volume, and the timeless truths found in the Christian market, you are in the right place.
Books have been my anchor, my hobby, and my deepest passion since I was ten years old. For over three decades, I have dedicated myself to the art of book scouting and curation—hunting down hard-to-find, rare, and deeply meaningful Christian literature to help readers connect with faith across the generations.
Pre-Loved Pages, Eternal Truths
Since ten years old, a love of books took hold,
To turn the pages, watch the truths unfold.
From caregiving by day, a steady hand,
To scouting hidden gems across the land.
Since ninety-five, I’ve chased the ink and spine,
A well-worn Bible, and a scent divine.
Two Callings, One Heart
By day, my life is centered on service. I serve as the Field Supervisor for the Elara Caring branch in Jefferson City, where I work alongside an incredible team as a professional caregiver. Caring for others is more than a job to me; it is a calling that requires patience, a steady hand, and a deep respect for the stories every person carries.
By night, that same respect for history and story translates into my passion for books. Since 1995, I have been scouting the Christian market for hidden treasures, out-of-print theological works, and beautifully bound Bibles. There is nothing quite like the tangible experience of holding a great book—the smell of the ink on the page, the history in a faded cover, and the enduring wisdom waiting inside.
Why I Started This Blog
This space is a crossroads where my love for old books, home safety, and intentional living meet. Whether you are looking for a rare theological text, trying to build a meaningful personal library on a budget, or simply appreciate the smell of a classic leather-bound Bible, I am honored to share this journey with you.
Thank you for stopping by. Grab a cup of coffee, look around, and let’s find your next great read together.
Blessings,
William Cato
