Before you can have sufficient Positive self control over your life, you need to have a fresh revelation in the study of what you are actually trying to get under control, which is your soul first, then the easy part your body.
Foundation For Self Control
Friend did you know that you are created in the image of God. And if you study what we call the God head which is the Father (God), the son (Christ Jesus), and the Holy Spirit, you will see that God has three parts which make up the God head, father son and Holy Spirit. God also has 3 attributes as well; omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence.
Man In Three Parts
Now God created mankind, men and women, you, in 3 parts as well. Body,soul and spirit. This is a snap shot of how man is created in Gods image. Why Natural Man never has complete self control
Natural man, soulish man or unconverted man, is dominated first by:
- Body: Your earth suit, the flesh
- Soul: Your soul controls the mind, your will and emotions
- Spirit: Your spirit is the true You. And inside of the unregenerate man, the spirit is virtually non-existent.
The Lord gave me an open eyed vision of future events in 1991 and he grace me to see the supernatural the unregenerate souls of man. This is my best description of the unregenerate soul:
- dark, leathery skin
- eye sockets dark and sunken in
It is a grim picture of the unregenerate man.
Maybe, the popular survival book “The Zombie Survival Guide” isn’t as far fetch as some may think. God did not create man this way. When he created Adam and Eve, he created them just the opposite. God created man to be dominated by our spirit, ruled by the soul which puts the flesh under control of the real you and God himself. Without God, man will never be-able to have full self control of ones self because those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God, Romans chapter 8 verse 8.
Your Foundation For Positive Self control
Recently I purchased a brand new Kirby vacuum cleaner. Like most gadgets in your home it comes with an instruction book. Inside of that instruction book is instructions on how to use the gadget properly so that your equipment will function for you for years to come.
God has given man an instruction book that we call The Holy Bible. Inside of that ancient manuscript is our instructions for daily living. From Genesis to Revelation God, has woven his rich promises that every born again child of God, has the power to move from where you are to where ever you desire to be.
It takes great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones to lay the foundation for positive self control.
