Don’t let your heart be troubled.
The Bible says in 1Timothy 4:1-5 NIV
1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.
2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.
3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth.
4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,
5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.
Church In Crisis
Recently, there have been all kinds of heinous sins in the church today. One would think that there is no difference in from the world and the church.
The Assemblies of God, is dealing with Fire Side Chapel in Evansville Indiana that has child abuse reports from its day care. The Pastor and Day Care Director both resigned.
The Catholic church is dealing with pedophile priest and higher authorities. Even sexual abuse with nuns no less.
The Southern Baptist convention has several things going on from sex abuse scandals to Social Justice & liberalism in the church.
This all leads to the verse of scripture above. That is if you believe we are living in the last days of the Church. If not you should, even Paul the Apostle, believed he was living in the last days before the return of Christ.
Stay in the Faith by reading scripture and pray daily. If your Leadership is falling into sin or even if they are not, remind them by reading 1Timothy 1-5 to them.
1Timothy 4: 6 states…
“If you put the Brethren in remembrance of these things you shall be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of Faith and of good doctrine, whereunto you have strained.” This is how you can help Church in Crisis.
