Now I am excited! You Should Be Excited Too… Why?

Because. That’s all just because. In life there are a lot of things that make a person disappointed.

• You might be disappointed because your day didn’t go well today.
• Your kids broke an antique vase after school horsing around while you were at work
• You lost your job and so on…

You might still be a little bummed because President Obama, was re-elected.  I know that it bummed me out.

But guess what? You can still get excited!

For me it doesn’t seem to take much. I get excited when I pray. I get excited when I read my bible. I get excited reading other peoples blogs and good Christian books like the one I am reading now “Experiencing The Presence of God”  by A.W.Tozer, another favorite author of mine aside from Leonard Ravenhill.

As a Christian you should be just as excitable as I am. You should just be exited about life in general Why? Because you have the answer that many do not. You know that when you leave this life that eternity is secured. Many do not. I get excited over stuff that small.

The Apostle Paul Knew How To Get Excited!

Reading about Paul the Apostle, really gets my excitement barometer going. Paul was a man that went to the extreme. I mean when he was wanting to make Christians suffer, he did. And when Jesus, got a hold of him… Paul storm the gates of hell and pushed the enemy back behind there lines.

And he really knew how to live. By dying. You should try it sometime. Paul knew how to be excited, he even stood before kings and rulers and proclaimed, “It makes me Happy, King Agrippa!…”read Acts Chapter 26.

Paul was a Master of getting Excited!

In 2 Timothy 1:6 Paul writes to Timothy, wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 

In essence Paul was telling Timothy to Get Excited, by stirring up the Holy Ghost inside of him, that he received when he was prayed for to get the baptism of the Holy Spirit and a Godly Excitement.

Get Excited!

Like Paul in his letter to Timothy, I am going to ask you to stir up the Gift that is inside of you and get Holy Excited. Like you Paul, had had a lot things that could have made him stay in doubt and unbelief. He was ship wreck a couple of times. Beaten several times for his testimony of Christ. Made to labor with his hands when he could have been preaching the gospel. He was in prison most of his Christian life.

Instead of mopping around complaining about how life circumstances had treated him badly,  he stirred up the gift of God inside of him (the Holy Ghost) and got excited! even to death.
