Preaching Christ Today

Preaching Christ in Everyday Life

For as long as I can remember and maybe you have had a similar experience, I have heard that best way to preach Chris in everyday life is o let your light shine. By his I mean, to live your faith on the outside as a testimony of Christ in your life.
“You don’t have to preach or witness your faith if you don’t want to”
Is this really Biblical?

What the Bible Says about Preaching Christ

Mark 16:15 KJV sates: And he (Jesus) said unto them (he disciples), Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. parenthesis mine
Here we read Jesus, telling his disciples to go and preach the gospel to every person. Preaching is oracle not demonstration. As soul winners we need to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, to every person that will listen… even if they don’t seem to be listening if they heckle you take it as a good sign that they are listening.

 Another verse of scripture that will help back up preaching VS. living demonstration is found in Luke 4:18 KJV Here we find Jesus standing in front of the Pharisees, and opening a book or scroll  to Isaiah  and declaring with the anointing and authority;

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted , to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.
Jesus then closed the book and sat down. I think that was one of the most powerful and shortest sermons written in the New Testament and yet it pierced the hearts of all that were in the room. The point here is that Jesus preached not through demonstration. He didn’t witness his faith through charades in front of the Pharisees; he opened his mouth and spoke.

What is the Simple Formula for Preparing to Preach the Gospel? 2 + 2 = 1

Looking at the anatomy of man and how God created our bodies with two ears, two eyes and one mouth, you should assume that God wants us to learn twice as much about him than we preach. The Bible states plainly in 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
James also wrote in his epistle…
James 1:19 KJV Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath
Glory to God. Thank you Father for your loving guidance through your word, amen.
Please don’t think that you have to be an ordained minister or have a PHD in theology before you should witness your faith. That is not what the scripture is saying. In essence God wants you to have an intimate relationship with him through prayer and by the study of his word (the Bible) and know that you know what the gospel “The Good News” that you are preaching really is.
