Does God Expect Christians to Vote?
Here is what I posted on my timeline. It was actually a shared memory with a new comment:

I will let you know I read my bible every day. I read the King James Bible. The reason I read the KJV bible is simply I feel all new versions including the New King James version has been perverted from the true word.

The world under the Devil
You said: “Don’t we know that for whomever we vote, the entire world will still be under Satan?”
Yes…
The world system is under Satan’s rule. However, Jesus Christ himself took back what the devil stole in the Garden of Eden, when he died on the cross. Colossians 2:8-15. Now the devil is still ruling this world system.
He is not ruling Christians.
Let me explain…
Colossians 2:15 says “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” I wonder what “it” is?
Oh, I see, there “it” is.
What is It?
Let’s back up to verse 14.”Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us and took it out of the way (remember we are people of the Way,) nailing it to the cross.”What was blotted out? Our sins. That means the devil cannot accuse us or blame us. God will not hear the devil (the accuser of the brethren,) any more about a believer of the Way’s sin. (Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.No one comes unto the Father, unless they come through Christ.)
Okay, I am going to get back on track…
We believers of the Way, the body of Christ, have the same authority (my King James Bible says power,) Jesus had “Power” when he was on this earth.
Here’s the proof…
Matthew 28:18 Jesus states, “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, “All power (NKJV says Authority) is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Then he commands in verse 19, “Go ye therefore, and teach all Nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost :
Mark 16: 15 says it this way: Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Check out verse 16,17, and 18 for good measure. Jesus gave the body of Christ his authority, and a greater authority than what satan told him he would give to him if he would bow down and worship him.
Now before we read Luke 22:29. The disciples arguing among themselves about who would be the greatest among in God’s kingdom and Jesus gave this example in Luke 22:25-6. 25 And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.
26 But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.
Then Jesus, followed up with this statement. “And I appoint unto you a Kingdom, as my father has appointed unto me;” I am no theologian, so I am going to put a couple of commentary notes.

22:29 And I – Will preserve you in all your temptations, till ye enter into the kingdom of glory: appoint to you – By these very words. Not a primacy to one, but a kingdom to every one: on the same terms: as my Father hath appointed to me – Who have fought and conquered.
People’s Bible Notes for Luke 22:29
Luke 22:29 I appoint unto you a kingdom. A kingdom to be secured, not by conquering and ruling, but humility, self-denial, and service. “He that humbleth himself shall be exalted” (Mt 18:14).
About Civic elections and the Body of Christ in America
I am not going to argue about whether a Christian should vote or not, at this moment.
There are certain sects that do not believe in participating with the world around them. Anabaptist, do not vote. Many do separate themselves from the world. I don’t believe that is what Jesus, wanted believers to do. He did give us a commission to Go Ye into all the world. How would it be possible if we separate ourselves?
Let’s look at what was said about separation…
2 Corinthians 16: 14-18
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Christ did not want Christians to separate from the people around them.Rather he did not want us to be bound in covenants or partnerships that would bind a believer and a non believer together, such as business, and personal life decisions. The greatest covenant one could bind themselves together is in the covenant of marriage. He also did not want Christians, to participate in un-godly rituals.
Such as Halloween, which began as a Christian holiday of All Saints Day.
Just by giving us the Great Commission, from what I see in the scriptures, God, even Christ, wanted Israel (in the old testament,) and Christians (in the New Testament,) to influence the world around them and us.
Let me give you a few scriptures about what Jesus, said about separation and the Christian.
Matthew 5:13-16
13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Here’s a few more verse from the book of John and I am going to end this separation portion with Jesus own words.
John 17:14-16
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Should Christians be involved in government & Elections?
Finally, I have saved the best for last.
Answering the question in the subtitle is an absolute yes.
Jesus, said “Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar’s, and unto God the things which be God’s.”
Luke 20:25 This is not a separation remark. Basically, Jesus is stating the same thing that Paul stated in Romans 13: 1-4.
I look at these two verses this way, give to the government what they require. Taxes, following the law National, state and local, vote. Give to God more than what is required. Basically, I am a dead man walking for Christ. Every day that goes by I carry my cross and follow him. I don’t want anyone to remember me. What I would rather have them remember is Christ.
I vote, but I vote differently than most Americans. I actually pray to find out how God wants me to vote. Did you know that God will tell you who to vote for?
I believe from 35 years of reading Gods word, that he absolutely wants the body of Christ to be involved in government. Let me take you way back into the Old Testament to prove my point where God instituted a representative form of government.
Exodus 18:21
Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:
Before America was formed into the Nation as we know it today, the world never heard of electing leaders of their nation. The world was always governed by Kings. When the pilgrims first landed on the shores of America, we were ruled by King James, yes the same King James that gave us the KJV bible, until 1625. Afterward America was ruled by a King until 1776. King George the third was the final king. America was the first Nation in the world too institute elections. The first being in 1789, after the forming of the first Constitutional congress.
America is a country that is unlike any country in the world. As you well know this country is ruled by laws and the constitution is the rule of those laws. There is not many countries in the world where Freedom of Religion is set in the law of the land.
At this moment the Liberty that the constitution gives every citizen of this country is under attack. The states of New York and California, are both treading on citizens rights including freedom of religion by forcing lockdowns and closing churches. When they good pastors ignore the state they are sent fines, arrested and so on.
Sure this nothing like what was seen by the early church up until Constantine the great in 306 A.D. Jesus told his disciples and future disciples in through the word…
John 15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
There are many Christians today that are being persecuted. China, Africa, Burkina Faso,and many others. Americans Christian are the least persecuted in the world because of our law of freedom of religion. As she becomes more and more secular and focused on being part of the global economies, then persecution against Christian and the church will become like other countries.
That is why Christian need to vote. That is how our voices are heard. Not by rioting as you may have seen on the news. Actually you probably aren’t getting the real news about what is happening in America, especially when it comes to Donald Trump. It’s fake news. I even have to do my own research to try to find the real news anymore. We can’t trust the media.
All you have to do is look at what the democrats stand for to understand why I said a vote for the democrats is a vote for the devil. They are for boys to identify as girls and visa versa, they are trying to teach children in Kindergarten sex education. They say men can have periods just like women. They want to abort babies even after birth. New York passed a law in 2018 to do just that. That’s just off the top of my head and there is a lot more craziness.
As I mentioned before Paul the Apostle, used his Roman Citizenship when he was arrested and it took him all the way to Cesar where he witness his testimony for Christ.
War in the Spirit
No, the war isn’t in this world, it’s in the spirit for this world.
Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
There are many intercessors and watchman praying for the United States, and the world, wherever the Lord leads us.
The devil may rule the world system, the church is hindering the beast from actually being known.
2 Thessalonians 2:6-8
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
If you believe in the rapture then you should believe that the one that hinders(let) is the body of Christ in this world that is holding the Wicked be revealed. The reason I believe this is because I believe in the rapture of the church. As we see in the book of revelation there are people that believe in Christ and are killed through persecution by the antichrist.
You cannot get saved without the Holy Ghost. If he is not here, how can anyone get saved?
Should a Christian Vote? Yes, in every election that you can. We are the body of Christ, and should know the will of God for your local, state, and country. If you don’t live in the United States, and your country has elections it is extremely important to read your bible daily in order to know God’s will.
Just knowing his will by his ten commandments, how he led the elect, his chosen people Israel, from a band of rag tag folks lost in the woods for forty years and how he turn them into a great Nation. How the early church not only knew Gods will through the old testament, the teaching of Jesus, to set in motion a revolutionary movement that has survived great empires all the way up to today.
By voting and getting involved in government the church will continue to be a hindrance to the devil and make the world a better place to live in until the great catching away of his church.
