What does Commune with God mean?

What It Means To Commune With God

When it comes to prayer, it is almost impossible to explain everything that you will need to know, without you actually getting into the habit of prayer.
This is especially true when it comes to intercession.
Prayer like electricity, has its own laws, from the spiritual into the physical. And like electricity, the practitioners and scientists still cannot explain all there is to know about it.  So it is with prayer.
Prayer is the word all of Christianity commonly uses for getting closer with God. But it should be kept in mind that that word covers and includes three stages to prayer.

What  It Means To Communion with God

That is simply being on good terms with God. It involves the blood of the cross of Christ’s sacrifice as the basis of our getting and being on good terms. It involves you coming to God  through the name of his son Jesus. Communion is fellowship with God.
Not a request; not asking, but simply enjoying Him, loving Him, meditating about Him, how beautiful, and intelligent, omniscient and loving He is. Talking with him, without words that can be uttered.
This is the truest worship, thinking how worthy God is of all the best we can possibly bring to Him, and infinitely more.
It has to do wholly with God and a man being on good terms with each other. Communion with God is also a necessity. It includes confession on my part and forgiveness upon God’s part, for only so can we come into right relation and fellowship with God.
Adoration and worship also belong to this first stage of prayer as well. Communion is the basis of all prayer. It is the essential breath of the true Christian life.
It concerns You and God.
Its influence is directly subjective.
Once you begin the practice of prayer, you will form a habit especially if you pray at the same time each day. Resolve to become a doer of the word and not a hearer only.

This is what it means to commune with God.
