Introduction: From An Intercessor
On The Art Of The Intercession
I must admit that it is a bit disappointing the lack of knowledge that is on the Internet about the art of the intercessor and intercessory prayer in general. Most of the articles that I have found searching through over 20 pages of search results, turn up with minimal information that isn’t regurgitated from well known books.
In this blog post I will attempt to paint a picture with words (Lord Help Me…:) from personal experience on the art of the intercessor. We will first start with:
Why is intercession an art?:
You should consider intercessory prayer to be an art because it takes practice, patience, endurance, a good spiritual ear (to hear what the spirit is saying), and it takes psychical and spiritual power to war in the Heavenlies.
The art of the intercessor is in knowing him. God. The Creator of Creation, the Author of all things new. It’s not up to us. What is man? It takes much faith to know when God whispers in your ear and tells you in that still small voice… Pray!
We know not what we should pray for. We are his instruments… It takes trust in him to know when to bow our knee.
Under what power do we intercede? Your own? No,
Your power is not staying power. Those who play that game never last.
Your power is not staying power. Those who play that game never last.
Someone will read a book on John “Praying” Hyde, and how he prayed in intercession for India, “God give me souls or I’ll die!” How he spent miraculous hours in prayer, that seemed more like minutes than most of the day.
what is Intercession?
Gods Power, flowing from the throne room of Grace, to your spirit and out of your mouth. Power that manifest’s in the lives and hearts of those that are lost, confused, diseased, demon possessed, back slidden, and wretched-murderers. Power that changes the course of communities and Nations!
I disagree that intercession is always in the realm of spiritual warfare. In fact, I believe we should be in intercession for each and every local Church service, revivals, and every church en devour. The intercessor is the power plant of the church.
On The Art Of Intercession
Intercession, shouldn’t be limited to one writer, or one blog, or even one book unless you are studying intercession from THE BOOK, as much as I appreciate your support by reading this blog and my many post. I have taken the liberty to bring you the best sources that I have found on the Internet to help you further in your study on the art of Intercession.
