Are you being led by the Holy Spirit? or are you leading your own path?

If your like most Christians the question “How can I know I am being led by the Spirit and not myself?” almost always come to mind.

In this post you will learn through scripture 6 easy steps to know if you are being led by the Holy Spirit, or yourself.

1.Isa.43-19: In this verse of scripture God reveals part of his master plan through the Prophet Isaiah concerning testament believers. Behold I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? Now the reason I know God is speaking of New testament believers in this verse is because old testament believers their spirit man was dead.

God did not reside inside of man (spirit to spirit) until after the death, burial Resurrection and Ascension of Christ. God resided in a temple called the Holy of Holies, hidden behind a thick royal curtain. Only the high priest could go in and only certain times of the year. In essence God is saying his voice will spring forth from the Holy Spirit into your spirit. This is how God leads his children through his plans, purposes and pursuits for your life.

2.Romans 12:1-2: You will notice verse one is a statement by the Apostle Paul that our bodies are suppose to be our living sacrifice, much like the sacrificial lamb in the old testament, without spot or blemish, Holy, acceptable to God. Naturally and soulishly this is impossible because of our sin nature. However, Christ Jesus, paid the ultimate price for you and as a born again believer and follower of Christ you can easily make your body a living sacrifice. How? By cultivating a relationship with God through prayer and obedience to his word.

Verse 2 says not to be conformed to this world. don’t follow after the natural things: Lust, envy, strife, fearful thoughts, greed etc. Instead we are to renew our mind and we renew our mind by the washing of the word of God. When we are born again we are born again by the spirit. Gods will for your life

3. Heb. 10-35-36 Gods timing

4.1Tim.1:-18 Prophecy is like a road map that lets u know which way to go. Utterances, check romans.

5.2cor 13:1 Confirmation. How do you know it is God talking to you? Do u need a prophecy? Do u need 3 witnesses? Do u give God a fleece to check your confirmation or to know that you are really hearing Gods voice?

6. Heb 13:17. Always check with your leadership before you put your life or lively hood on the line.
